Why The Rainforest World Music Festival Needs to Change

“When I am at the Rainforest World Music Festival, I feel I am in another country. It’s not Malaysia any more. It’s laidback, it’s international, it’s cool. It’s also open air, no seats (just bring a mat), informal and come-as-you-wish.”

Back from Rainforest World Music Festival!!

We stayed at the Permai Rainforest Resort, which was advertised as a mere 10 minute walk from the Sarawak Cultural Village (where the festival was held) and sneakily enough, it was – from the ENTRANCE of the resort to the cultural village! Getting from the entrance to our cabins was another 15-20mins walk!

Camp Permai look like a really nice place to stay in… I now know why this festival is the best music festival in the world. Everyone is just so friendly and unpretentious.
