Thailand > Krabi Aonang Again

… But to me, Aonang Beach gives one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen anywhere. We pop down to our lobby cum breakfast cafe for a bite. Our room (The Verandah) is right above the yellow bank. We have been sleeping over piles of cash all this while.

We met See Tho and Janine of Sheraton Krabi for the very first time and they welcomed us with beautiful necklaces made with real orchids. With the pleasant scent of orchid emanating from around my neck, it began to dawn on me that I was on holiday!

Krabi is fun… is a nice place to chill out. Is the good place if you feel like relax yourself. If you really want to get out of the TOWN feel, i think is best if you can stay @ the island…. Best Western Ban Ao Nang for 1600baht/night

My sister Angie had requested (Ms) Atchara, the charming owner of @KrabiPura Guesthouse, to arrange for a van to fetch us from the airport. The tour company charged us (group of 7) 650 Baht for the 15km trip to Krabi town….

8 of us took a trip down to Krabi just before the New Year. We fly via Air Asia straight to the Krabi airport. We would be staying at the Aree Tara resort on Ao Nang beach for 3 nights

2nd and 3rd Day of Heineken Star Final at Krabi, Thailand

… the hotel shuttle charges 400 baht per person for a round trip ride, which just doesn’t make economic sense.

And I had thought that hotel shuttles are free. Thanks Sheraton, for building your resort so far away from civilization and charge significant dollars for your shuttle services, hmph!

A brain dump on Bangkok, Ao Nang, Railay, Thai Air Asia, and more

We stayed at the Amari Coral Beach – fantastic location. Every room has a great view. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent… Ao Nang is a very small place, super touristy, and it is seemed at times that all the people there were from Germany and Nordic countries.

We stayed at Krabi La Playa which was nice! It was ever so cute the way they folded the towels into little elephants! They were arranged in a different way each day too.

This place is across the street from Aonang Buri Resort and the food here is better, the view too. We were so amused by how much they glorify their toilet – how’d you like to have your toilet up in lights like this? One thing for sure, you wouldn’t miss this toilet!
